Shoftim Vol 1
In the grand tapestry of Jewish history, every book of Torah, Nevi’im, and Ketuvim is a thread of fire—illuminating truths that refuse to fade. The Book of Judges (Shoftim) burns especially bright, pressing us to confront timeless questions of covenant, identity, and responsibility.
Tanach tells of promises spoken and promises kept: from Hashem’s covenant with Avraham to its fulfillment in Yisrael’s inheritance of the Land. Yehoshua testifies to Divine faithfulness, the hand of Hashem delivering every pledge made to our forefathers.
But then comes the turning point. The strong hand of Moshe, the steady leadership of Yehoshua—gone. The tribes, unmoored, must chart their own course.
Into this moment steps Shoftim, confronting us, challenging us, and demanding we ask: What will we do with the Land we inherit?
